  CFU Amplifiers

A well mannered amplifier should accept an input, amplify it, drive it into the connected load without any extra noises, distortion or speaker threatening DC failures and definitely no expensive vacations to the repair shop. User error must be met with quiet protection, not with system-destroying violence... and it has to sound good. These are the simple criteria that form the basis of the CFU Amplification philosophy.

Behind the elegant fascia, an unusually large amount of output transistors and massive power supply. Many designers specify the transistor compliment by the maximum that can be wrung from each device, ignoring the fact that good behaviour is dependant upon transistor-die area and sufficient heat removal. CFU Amplifiers use a very large number of output devices per watt attached to proprietary heat sinks, optimised aero-dynamics and twin thermally controlled proportional fans.

The two ohm capability and massive power output enhances the versatility of this range of amplifiers.

Perfect for powering the full range of OHM loudspeakers and subwoofers.

Balanced line inputs and links are provided on industry standard Neutrik XLR connectors, for fixed installations a barrier strip is provided. Slide switches offer three gain options, a simple 100Hz low pass filter, stereo, bridge, parallel options and an earth lift.
Outputs via Neutrik Speakon connectors and binding posts providing multi-connection options including bridge and bi-amp. Mains inlet is by way of a fixed power cable. The whole unit is protected by a circuit breaker.

CFU Amplifiers provide loudspeaker DC, over temperature, short circuit and over current limiters as standard.

Attractively Styled, reliable and tough, ready for static installation or life on the road.

Behind the elegant fascia, an unusually large number of output transistors and massive power supply are at the heart of the LA amplifier design. LA Series Amplifiers use a very large number of live output devices per watt attached directly to proprietary heat sinks, optimised aero-dynamically and force cooled by twin thermally controlled fans.
The front of the amplifier features left and right gain controls. An array of status LED’s indicates output and clip. A heavy duty mains switch completes the layout .

Power On is indicated by the illuminated gain knobs, when in Bridge mode the channel B led is extinguished. Balanced line inputs and links are provided on industry standard Neutrik male and female XLR connectors, Internal slide switches offer two gain settings and limiter by-pass.

User accessible external slide switches control stereo, mono and bridge functions, high pass, low pass and full range functions via the fixed 100Hz internal crossover. Ideal for a very cost effective subwoofer satellite system.

Stereo outputs are via Neutrik Speakon® compatible connectors, A third connector is provided for the bridge output option, the Channel A connector can also be wired Bi-amp.
Mains inlet is by way of a Neutrik Powercon®. The whole unit is protected by a resettable trip switch. Loudspeaker DC, over temperature, short circuit and switchable over current limiters are additional failsafe features fitted as standard.

  DSP-A3 Amplifier

The DSP-A3 amplifier combines reliable class H output stage, switch mode power supply and a fully featured DSP with Ethernet control. Weighing just thirteen kilograms ideally suited for touring systems.

Featuring a forty eight bit 96kHz AD/DA converter and a DSP system providing filtering, up to two seconds delay, Equalisation and Limiting functions. Setup, monitoring and controlling can be done locally or by use of the inbuilt Ethernet communication system. Adjustments and faults can be monitored via a Windows based computer over a local area network or via the internet remotely.

The user interface shows the DSP functionality just like an analogue unit with one-to-one portraits of every control. IP Addresses are automatically allocated to each amplifier. Settings can be saved to memory and recalled on demand. Software updates can be downloaded via the internet.

The Cleo goes digital. Recognising the requirement for affordable DSP, OHM are proud to announce the fully functioned CLEO Mk2 2-6 Loudspeaker System Controller.
The CLEO Mk2 is a 48k 2 input 6 output fully configurable digital unit for full system control. Providing crossover facilities offering up to 48dB/octave slopes, up to six outputs can be derived from either of the two inputs or a sum of both.
The CLEO will store up to 60 user custom programs. It comes preloaded with system parameters for limited OHM loudspeaker systems and features security lock out modes for protecting and hiding program settings.
Intuitive front panel controls for channel muting, programming and level information, with the option of interfacing the unit via a PC make this a truly flexible audio system solution.

An essential and comprehensive arsenal of digital tools for the system designer. This totally new loudspeaker management system is an intuitive aid for today`s sound engineer.
Requiring only 1U of rack space, CRED equips the system designer with full control over system parameters.
Whilst in the digital domain, the user can control delay parameters, gain structures and fully assign multiple parametric E.Q.'s to both it's inputs and four or six outputs, dependant on model.

Designed to fit into the new OHM Proprietary flightcase, the 8U Power Distribution Board has a three phase 63 Amp single phase input and output, three phase isolator, six 32 Amp single phase outputs, one 13 Amp UK socket and a European Shuco outlet as well as an earth terminal.

Each of the 32 Amp outlets is fitted with an isolator, digital voltage and current meters. A USB socket is provided for a USB Gooseneck LED light or other USB device.

All housed in a robust metal case finished in OHM standard livery.

To complement the DSP amplifiers, a matching two unit high Patch Panel is available which can be used to configure mains management, Inputs, Outputs and DSP LAN.

Mains is supplied via a trailing male single phase C32 socket and distributed to four Neutrik© Powercon outlets. There are LED indicators for phase and earth integrity and an isolator switch. To prevent power surges the mains outlets operate via a sequencer activated by a single front mounted switch. Sixteen dual Pomona sockets mounted on the rear of the enclosure provide a "User Assignable Matrix" to connect the ample array of front mounted Neutrik©four pole and eight pole connectors.

An internal Ethernet switch gives PC access for up to four DSP amplifiers by way of RJ45 connectors. Two USB connectors are provided for the connection of a Gooseneck LED light or other USB Devices. Neutrik© XLR inputs and links give the patch panel complete user versatility. Robust
and ready for the road, this unit is designed to be housed in the UC-8U and UC-10U flight cases with up to four DSP-Series amplifiers
